time for a new blog

straks waait de wereld weer
maar nu nog niet, nu nog niet
nu kijk ik stil op en neer
en ik wacht

ik zie de muren, die zijn af
ik hoor de buren, die zijn op
ik tel de uren, die tel ik op
hoe stom, hoe stom

jij bent al lang verdwenen
naar een plaats hier ver vandaan
de tijd tikt, de seconden wenen
je kent dat, ik ken dat

To kill a demon made of wet saw dust:

This sort of demon is almost impossible to kill. The only way to do it is to cover its face with wet bread and karate chop its head off. Otherwise you are in trouble and so is the neighbourhood. Wet sawdust demons like to terrorise.

N.B. Pressing its face into wet bread that is on the ground works best though you can get a result just by throwing the bread at its face.

Myess ... return to the pearly gates of school tomorrow. I really hope everything will work out fine ... new year, new classmates, new teachers. A new year without making the mistakes a made last year.

- Do not wonder what could have happened if you did / say something else.
- Do not , I repeat, do not replay and replay moments in your head.
- Do not conc at the frontdoor.
- Do not fix problemes when there are none.
- Do not look back. Extreme differences could be near.

News of the day:

I think it's better to start each log session with the news of the day. Blogger.com has released the new Blogthis! web application, so it will be easier for me to update this log.

I'm really looking forward to a free innercity festival (Mechelen, Belgium). Every edition has been a hit, and there's no doubt this year will rock again. Some big belgian names on the list, and maybe some guys you know : Praga Khan (they toured America, I think. Frontman Maurice Engelen also does the keyboard at The Lords Of Acid, a Belgian dance formation which is far more popular in America than in Belgium.) and Johnny Logan (Ireland). Nyway, i'll be there.

I've been thinking a lot these days. Especially about what's down the track if I don't stop trying to fix things I haven't messed up at all. I dunno, it's some kind of weird thingie. Every action I take to fix situations, just make them worse. In fact, not worse ... I'm just inventing problems. Note to self: stop it.

And most of all, I keep wondering: "Does anybody read this ... ?". If you do, please let me know by e-mail (baertman@pandora.be) or by signing the guestbook on my Skyhook webpage. Thx a lot ! :->

Quote of the day:

"I get deeper into this thing and I pretend they're not there. I just dare. I get deeper when people start to dissapear and it's about 6 'o clock, and I pretend that there is nobody here but me in this place. I get deep I get deep when I take all the base out of the song and all you hear is synth ... and it's so ... sweet." (Forceflow quotes Roland Clark - I get deep.)

So here I am again, using notepad.exe (win 3.11 network edition, for the geeks among us.) on my old 386SX workstation. It's 11:52 PM and it's time to tell what happened in the last few weeks. First of all, I want to apologise for not updating my weblog daily\weekly. (for those of you who care ;p). I've been in Portugal\Austria, and I didn't have the possibilities (no laptop, no terminals, slow connections, ...), neither the time to update it. Please don't hit the panic button, (again for those of you who care),for I will try to write a satisfacting compensation.

"People who say they are completely happy have a lack of imagination." (anonymous, 2003)

"Achtung ! Steinslag !" (Austrian road sign, 2003)

"Bow for me, for I am root' (Thinkgeek.com Unix T-Shirt, 2002)

News of the past few weeks:

myeah, I could write some detailed report about my trips here, but that would be quite boring for the average reader. (if there are any readers of this weblog ... please let me know !)

You'll probably remember this thoughts-buffer I posted a couple of weeks ago. (it had the same opening sentence as this post). If you liked that, you should certainly read the book "The age of spiritual machines" by Ray Kurzweil. It's a hard one to read, but it's certainly worth it.

*yoarn*

I'm too tired ... I'll keep updating this log, promised this time.
